About our materials

Cr12MF

N690

High-quality stainless steel made by Böhler, known for its excellent corrosion resistance, edge retention, and toughness. With added cobalt, molybdenum, and vanadium, it offers a fine grain structure and reliable performance. Great for outdoor, kitchen, and EDC knives—easy to sharpen and ideal for both beginners and experienced users.

M390

M390 is a premium stainless steel known for outstanding edge retention, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. Made with high levels of chromium, vanadium, and molybdenum, it reaches hardness to 61 HRC. Ideal for high-end knives, it offers top-tier performance.

Hornbeam

Stabilized black hornbeam is a durable and visually striking hardwood, ideal for premium knife handles. Through the stabilization process, the wood is infused with resin, enhancing its strength, water resistance, and dimensional stability. The deep, dark grain of black hornbeam offers a sleek, modern look while remaining tough enough for everyday use. A great choice for both functional knives.

Ironwood

Ironwood is one of the densest and hardest woods available, prized in knifemaking for its exceptional durability and rich, natural beauty. Its tight grain and high oil content make it naturally water-resistant and highly resistant to wear. With deep, earthy tones and striking grain patterns, ironwood provides a rugged yet refined look, perfect for high-end, long-lasting knife handles.

Maple burl

Maple burl is a highly figured wood known for its swirling grain and eye-catching patterns, making it a favorite for custom knife handles. When stabilized and dyed in multiple colors, it becomes both visually stunning and structurally durable. The resin infusion enhances its strength and moisture resistance, while the vibrant hues highlight the natural burl figure, creating one-of-a-kind handles that blend performance with artistic flair.
